Turkish prosecutors have requested a court to bring the arrested mayor Imamoglu from Istanbul to prison. The Public Prosecution Service suspects him of terrorism and corruption.
A court in Istanbul will make a decision later today on the request of the Public Prosecution Service. Outside the court has been demonstrated by supporters of Imamoglu since last night.
Imamoglu and dozens of others were arrested on Wednesday. Last night it was announced that he was being interrogated and that it would take hours.
