Interim board must now also leave

The temporary administration of the FNV was sent home by the Supervisory Board. FNV Personnel and Members from different sectors of the trade union report this to the Autovantra. The spokesperson for the board confirms the decision. It is not yet clear why the temporary administration has to go.

The decision was taken during the meeting of the membership. That is the highest body of the trade union.

Earlier, the general board of the trade union was sent home under pressure from its own staff and various sectors within the union such as government, ports, beneficiaries and metal.

An already planned election for a new board and a new chairman was also suspended. First a temporary administration had to ensure that “in peace” two internal investigations could be completed.

One of the studies, among other things, about how false accusations against Zakaria Boufangacha, candidate for the FNV chair, started to lead a life of his own. This research has since been completed.

The other study would come out next week and is about the complex organization of the trade union (the division of tasks between the board, the membership parliament and the work organization of the union).

Who now takes the lead at the FNV is unclear. For example, it is not yet known whether the elections for the board and the chairmanship will be resumed or will be rejected.
