India and Pakistan once about file in Kashmir

India and Pakistan have agreed on an immediate cease-fire for the Kashmir region. Details of the agreement are not yet known.

The American president Trump was the first to report that the two core powers had agreed. Shortly thereafter, spokespersons of India and Pakistan confirmed that an agreement had been reached and that an immediate end to the fighting.

The conflict threatened to escalate in recent days. Attacks were carried out. Both countries pointed to each other so far as the party who wanted to continue the fight.

According to Trump, the file has been negotiated all night. In a post on Truth Social, his social media channel, Trump congratulates both countries with the result achieved. He thanked them that they had kept their common sense.

The American Foreign Minister Rubio also congratulates both countries. He says that the agreement is the result of discussions that he and Vice President Vance have conducted with India and Pakistan in the past two days.

The conflict flared up after an attack by armed men on Indian tourists on April 22 in Kashmir. In addition, 26 people died. India holds Pakistan responsible for it, but Pakistan rejects that accusation.

The details will be worked out in the coming period. The first conversations are planned for Monday, says an Indian army leader.

Last night there were attacks over and over again, with killing and injured people on both sides. Dozens of people died on both sides in the past a week and a half.

After announcing the cease-fire, Pakistan has opened his airspace again for all flights.
