First images of collision between cargo ship and tanker

Images appeared from the moment when a cargo ship sailed against a kerosin tanker on Monday morning off the English coast. This not only shows the great impact of the collision and the explosion, but also how bad the view of the North Sea was due to the dense fog.

The images are recorded by a camera on a tanker ship that was anchor in the port of Grimsby. They offer more clarity about the circumstances during the collision.

The British authorities are investigating the images. For the time being they are not assuming evil design.

The fire on the kerosin tanker Stena Immaculate, which is still anchor in the North Sea, has since been extinguished. Flames are still seen on cargo ship Solong.

It was previously announced that the captain of the cargo ship is a 59-year-old man from Russia. He is suspected of manslaughter due to serious negligence, but has not yet been charged. One of his crew members is missing.

The Dutch company Boskalis was asked to store the kerosin tanker.
