‘Defense minister Hegseeth also shared attack plans in Signalgroep with wife and brother’

The American Minister Hegseeth of Defense has also shared plans for an attack on Houthi rebels in advance also via Signal with people who didn’t have to know about it at all, including his wife, brother and personal lawyer. That writes The New York Times Based on several sources.

The attack on the Houthis already led to a fuss, when it turned out that high government officials had accidentally included a journalist in the Signal group in which the plans were discussed. For example, his brother Phil and lawyer work for the Pentagon, but they had nothing to do with this operation. His wife Jennifer Rauchet, once producer at Fox News, has no relationship with the ministry at all.

The three dismissed employees announced on Saturday that they were innocent and not even to know exactly why their door was pointed out. “We don’t even know what was investigated, whether the investigation is still ongoing and whether there is real research into the ‘leaks'”, they wrote in a statement.
